Daniel Jones injury update: Giants QB carted off after suffering hit to head vs. Cowboys
The Giants got dealt two big injury blows early against Dallas in Week 5.
First, starting running back Saquon suffered an ankle injury that sidelined him for the rest of the game. Then, it was starting quarterback Daniel Jones, who took a nasty hit to the head on the goal line and came up wobbling afterward.
Jones was eventually carted off the field and taken to the locker room. He was ruled out of the game, according to the Fox broadcast.
He was replaced in the game by former Tampa, Chicago and Jacksonville starter Mike Glennon. Before coming out of the game, Jones was 5-of-13 with 98 yards passing and added another 9 yards on the ground.
Jones, a former first-round pick out of Duke in 2019, has been the Giants’ leading rusher to this point in the season and entered the day completing 66.7 percent of his passes for 1,184 yards and four touchdowns.
