College Football Playoff rankings: Who are the top four teams in final CFP poll of 2021?

What turned out to be a chaotic final weekend of the regular season has, ironically, created the most peaceful path to the College Football Playoff.

Losses by No. 1 Georgia and No. 5 Ohio State should make it an easy job for the selection committee. The final four teams that make up the playoff should be clear: No. 1 Alabama, No. 2 Michigan and some ordering of Georgia and Cincinnati. The only question is where the committee decides to drop the Bulldogs following their loss to the Crimson Tide in the SEC championship game.

It’s possible the selection committee attempts to compare Georgia’s resume with the likes of Notre Dame and Baylor, which appeared to have a fighting chance at making the playoff following the Cowboys’ loss. But the Bulldogs’ season-long dominance should be too much to overcome for either of those teams.

Indeed, the biggest questions remaining on Saturday are where the non-playoff participants will find themselves during bowl season. With that, Sporting News presents the sixth and final set of College Football Playoff rankings of the season — and the only ones that matter:
