Broncos outside linebacker Bradley Chubb detained for missing Aug. 6 court date – The Denver Post
Broncos outside linebacker Bradley Chubb was detained Tuesday by the Douglas County Sheriff on a failure-to-appear warrant.
Chubb had an Aug. 6 court date for two charges issued May 6: Driving with expired license plates of at least 60 days (a Class B traffic infraction) and driving under restraint (misdemeanor).
Chubb practiced for the Broncos on the morning of his court date.
A new court date for Chubb has not yet been set.
In a statement, the Broncos said: “We are aware of the matter, which was related to an unresolved traffic citation that has now been addressed.”
Chubb, the Broncos’ first-round draft pick in 2018, has not practiced since appearing in the team’s final preseason game Aug. 28 against the Los Angeles Rams because of an ankle injury.
The Broncos open the regular season Sunday at the New York Giants.
