ACC tournament considering attendance options with North Carolina easing restrictions
The Atlantic Coast Conference will evaluate potential fan attendance at the conference's men's basketball tournament in Greensboro next month, the conference said.
North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper announced Wednesday the easing of COVID-19 restrictions amid improved statewide pandemic trends.
Beginning Friday, indoor sports arenas with seating of more than 5,000 will be allowed to have attendance at 15% of their capacity. Outdoor venues will be allowed to seat spectators at 30% of capacity. Mandatory mask mandates and social distancing requirements will remain in effect.

The new guidelines would allow 3,153 spectators to attend tournament games if the ACC approves of attendance.

The conference announced last week that the tournament would be limited to families and team guests.
