Aaron Rodgers has arrived in New York ahead of his unveiling as Jets player later on Wednesday.
The Jets shared a video of the quarterback in Jets colors for the first time, captioned: ‘He’s here.’ They shared a second picture of him in a Jets hood with the caption: ‘Looks good on ya’.
He was welcomed by Woody Johnson and Robert Saleh as he walked through the doors at Florham Park in New Jersey. ‘Welcome to the Jets,’ Johnson tweeted, sharing a second video himself.
His trade to the Jets was all but sealed on Monday afternoon when terms were finally agreed with the Green Bay Packers after weeks of discussions.
It’s a move that has captivated the NFL and is widely believed to transform the Jets into Super Bowl contenders.

Speaking on Tuesday, Jets GM Joe Douglas was thrilled at the prospect of Rodgers arriving.
‘Ultimately [we have] been able to get what we feel is a historic trade for this franchise,’ Douglas told reporters Tuesday.
‘Aaron’s one of the best quarterbacks to ever play this game and to have an opportunity to add a player of that caliber, you’re always going to look into it.
‘We’re all excited to add someone of his character and his ability.’
New York will receive not only Rodgers but the Packers’ No. 15 pick and a fifth-rounder in Thursday’s NFL Draft, when the deal is ratified.
In exchange, Green Bay acquire the Jets’ 13th overall draft choice, plus its second and sixth-rounder, and a conditional 2024 second-round pick, which will become a first if Rodgers plays 65 percent of snaps this season.
‘We’re comfortable with how this deal is shaped,’ Douglas said. ‘In any negotiation, I don’t think anyone walks away where you feel you won everything. But ultimately our goal from the beginning was to add Aaron to the team.’
Rodgers took to Instagram on Tuesday night for an emotional farewell to the Packers, where he spent 18 years.
