An emotional Tom Daley couldn't hold back the tears after finally securing his first Olympic gold medal at the fourth attempt in Tokyo.
Daley, who first competed at the Beijing Olympics back in 2008, came out on top in the synchronised 10 metres platform diving alongside partner Matty Lee.
The pair started well in Tokyo and led China after the first four rounds, and an impressive forward four-and-a-half somersault tuck earned them 101.01 points in the sixth and final dive.
That superb end ensured China could not catch them at the top of the leaderboard, confirming Daley finally got his hands on Olympic gold.
The 27-year-old secured a bronze medal at in 2012 and 2016, but this time he has gone one better to clinch his long-awaited Olympic dream.
And while stood on the winners' podium, Daley could be seen shedding a few tears as the British national anthem played out on his crowning night in Tokyo.

He said after receiving the gold medal: "To finally have this gold medal around my neck… I mean I’ve been diving for 20 years and this is my fourth Olympic Games. Lots of people would have counted me out of these Games being the older person but I’m in the best shape mentally, physically.
“With the support of Matty we’ve had an unstoppable mentally this year, and that’s the first time I’ve been able to think like that. I still, honestly can’t believe what’s happening, and I didn’t even think I would get here in the first place.
“That moment [receiving the gold medal], I was gone, I was blubbering. I can’t believe it.”
