Ten-year-old son of ex-World’s Strongest Man bench presses more than most adults

The 10-year-old son of ex-World's Strongest Man Eddie Hall can shockingly bench press more than most adults.

Hall was training with his son Maximus in the gym when the youngster achieved the incredible feat of lifting 60kg in total during his session. First, Hall's offspring miraculously benched a 20kg bar with ease more than 10 times.

But that was just a warm-up for the adolescent, who then proceeded to add 40kg weights to the bar. And Maximus managed to lift the heavy load five times before his dad came over to assist him.

Hall was impressed by his son's achievement and gushed: "That’s actually ridiculous…. that 40kg bench-press…really." To exemplify just how hard lifting the weight amount is, Hall invited his cameraman Jamie to give it a shot.

And Jamie conceded even doing 20kg would be a difficult challenge as he geared up to try and follow in Maximus' footsteps. The camera specialist heaved and groaned as he struggled to reach five reps as Hall hovered over him.

Once Jamie was done, Hall said to the camera whilst grinning: "Just to prove a point here, Jamie is 23 years of age and this goes to show, I think most adults cannot bench this kind of weight.”

Maximus' impressive achievement was applauded by fans who flocked under the video shared on his Beast Jr YouTube page to praise the youngster. One fan said: "Max, great work homie. Eddie, this is so awesome of you. You guys are inspiring, thanks!"

Then a second added: "He's gunna be a beast when he's older like his dad, great progress max keep up the hard work and videos it's good to see, maybe we could see a cardio workout." A third user gushed: "I can’t believe a 10-year-old is teaching me to weight lift it’s brilliant. Max can you show your warm ups and cool down please mate."

Hall took a moment out from his own rigorous training regime following his wrestling debut a few weeks ago in early February. The 35-year-old was a surprise entrant into Megaslam Wrestling's Saturday show at the King's Hall in his hometown of Stoke, joining Team Megaslam in the Main Event Megaslam Rumble.
