Sources: Nets’ Durant undergoing contact tracing

Brooklyn Nets forward Kevin Durant was not available to start Friday night against the Toronto Raptors due to health and safety protocols, the team announced.

A team source told ESPN’s Malika Andrews and Adrian Wojnarowski that Durant is undergoing contact tracing and the Nets are awaiting further updates to see if the All-Star forward could be available later in the game.

Durant, who had COVID-19 last March, is the second-leading scorer in the NBA, averaging 30.8 points per game. He previously missed three games in early January due to health and safety protocols.
