Shane Warne hit out at fans who told him to "back off" plastic surgery

Shane Warne once issued a fierce response after cricket fans told him to "back off" from plastic surgery.

The late Australian cricket icon, who tragically died on Friday, repeatedly denied that he had ever had any form of plastic surgery after fans often claimed that he gone under the knife.

They lamented Warne in the comments section of one of his Instagram posts, with a filter on the image changing how his face looked.

But Warne was having none of it in an interview with The Australian, saying: “Everyone thinks I’ve had facial operations. I haven’t had one thing. I was around 92, 93 kilos when I finished playing cricket.

"I had my own TV show on Channel Nine in Australia. I was doing some rehearsals, and I thought, ‘Holy s**t, I’ve put on a bit of weight. I’ve got to get fit for my TV show.’”

One fan wrote: “Back off the surgery Warnie – starting to look like NY cat lady.”

Another commented: “What are you doing to yourself, Warney.”

A third simply asked: “Is this a wax figure of you?”

However, Warne clapped back a few days later as he posted a selfie along with the caption: “Poker face ready for #WSOP main event! No awesome filters.”
