Pool star produces ‘filthy’ double pot to win rack from impossible position
Fans were left hailing a "filthy" double pot in the Ultimate Pool Masters this week.
Craig Dixon was 4-2 down in racks to Jonny Croxton but had a chance to reduce the deficit with just one yellow and the 8 ball left, whilst his opponent still has all seven reds on the table. But Dixon seemingly fluffed his chance when he found himself snookered with little way out.
However, he then produced an amazing pot, sending the white ball from the end of the table into the bottom edge of the middle pocket – and it rebounded off on a right angle and duly knocked the yellow into the opposite middle: "Oh my goodness me," shouted one commentator, before ruing Dixon was unluckily not left on the 8 ball.

Or so he thought. Dixon then arguably produced an even great dose of magic, managing to overcome another snooker by swerving the white, again near the back cushion, around the red and connecting with the 8 ball. Amazingly, he got his angles right again and the black duly nestled in the far top pocket.
"Craiog Dixon that is the definition of the real deal," cried out the pundit. "Two absolute worldies back to back. Have a bang on this." Describing the replays, he added: "Incredible shot. Have watch of this. That's an un unbelievable dig."
Fans were also impressed, as @Stu_Palmer tweeted "that was filthy." FelixNicaldo added: "Absolutely ridiculous. Not sure which of the two shots are best."

@SeanGarveys tweeted: "Best two ball finish I have ever seen. Simple!" while @agarnett91 wrote "That is absolutely ridiculous." The official Ultimate Pool account posted the footage with the caption: "What have we just seen from Craig Dixon! Simply. Ridiculous."
It's not the first time fans have been left wowed by some superb potting this year. Last month, Chris Melling lived up to his 'Magician' nickname by pulling off what was dubbed the "most ridiculous shot you will ever see" in the Ultimate Pool Champions League.
Melling had left himself in trouble after missing a cannon on the 8 ball, but then banked his final red off three cushions to seal victory. He worked out the angles to perfection and left himself in prime position on the black with an improbable shot that like with DIxon's effort, soon went viral on social media.
