James, Manning and Michelle Obama 'could join forces on Netflix show'

NBA star LeBron James, NFL legend Peyton Manning and former President and First Lady Barack and Michelle Obama could join forces on a new Netflix basketball show, according to a report.
James and Manning, who own SpringHill Company and Omaha Productions respectively, have already produced hit programming in the entertainment field – including Omaha’s ‘Quarterback’ series.
And now, according to the Wall Street Journal, the companies are in discussions to spinoff the NFL-focused show into a basketball version.
Starring Patrick Mahomes, Kirk Cousins and Marcus Mariota in its first iteration, the show followed the trio throughout the 2022 NFL season and offered behind the scenes access.
It’s not clear who would star in the basketball version of the show, if it is produced.

There are reportedly discussions ongoing with Peyton Manning’s Omaha Productions
And even the production company of Barack and Michelle Obama is said to be involved
Along with SpringHill and Omaha, Higher Ground Productions – the production company of the Obamas – is involved in discussions for the show, the WSJ said.
The NBA is also said to be involved.
Following his legendary playing career, Manning has earned plaudits with the Omaha-produced ‘Manningcast,’ an alternate broadcast of Monday Night Football with his brother and fellow ex-player Eli Manning.
SpringHill, meanwhile, was involved in the ‘Space Jam’ sequel starring James, and produces the star’s popular discussion show ‘The Shop’ for YouTube.
Per the WSJ, Omaha has been valued at $410 million while SpringHill was valued at around $725 in 2021.
James will return for his 21st NBA season on Tuesday as the Lakers face the Nuggets.
