German Masters prize money: How much can Judd Trump and Jack Lisowski win?
Snooker: O’Sullivan appears to forget rules
Judd Trump and Jack Lisowski missed the Masters earlier this month after they tested positive for Covid-19. But they later returned negative tests to allow them to compete in this week’s German Masters.
Despite reaching another career final, Trump admits he “not been sharp” this week.
The world No 1 produced a remarkable comeback in his in the semi-final match against Barry Hawkins to come from 5-1 down to win 6-5.
“The first six frames were a write-off,” Trump told the World Snooker Tour.
“The whole tournament to be honest has not been good and I have not been sharp.
“Having an extended break was not good for me, but I am proud of the way I dug in because it would have been easy to give up.
“I was questioning what drink I was going to get from Starbucks on the way home.
“But you just have to put that to the back of your mind. Something clicked at 5-1 and there was no turning back from there.”
Trump bids to become the first player to successfully defend the German Masters title.
Lisowski secured his spot in the final with a comfortable 6-2 win over Tom Ford.
What is the prize money for the German Masters?
The winner of the German Masters will take home the top prize of £80,000.
The runner-up will earn £35,000, while the beaten semi-finals receive £20,000.
The prize money remains the same as last year’s tournament, with Trump beating Neil Robertson 9–6 in the final.
“It was a good game, and there was a lot of high-class safety,” Trump said afterwards.
“You had to earn your chance. Neil is very hard to beat, and I had to play my best safety.
“Every time he is in, you expect him to clean up. He is that good.”
