England cricket WAGs cheering on Ashes stars from singer to stunning model
England began their quest for the famous Ashes urn overnight, and things didn't exactly go to plan as they were skittled out for just 147 on the opening day of the first Test in Brisbane.
Joe Root's men were being heavily backed by supporters in England, but perhaps none more so than their biggest fans as they continuously tour the globe – their wives and girlfriends.
The WAGs face numerous challenges such as fitting their lives around the cricketers’ hectic calendar, but they somehow find the time to devote their schedule to cheer on their loved ones.
And with the Ashes now underway, here's a look at the England cricket team's WAGs…. from a Saturdays singer to a stunning model!
Carrie Root
Carrie had been working at a bar in Headingley, Leeds, where England skipper Joe Root plies his trade for Yorkshire County Cricket Club.
They began dating in 2014 before he popped the question ahead of the T20 World Cup in 2016.
The pair got married two years later in his hometown of Sheffield in December 2018 with a lavish church ceremony – and he had teammate Stuart Broad in attendance at the wedding.
Joe and Carrie welcomed their first child into the world in January 2017, when his wife gave birth to Alfie.
And in July last year, Carrie also gave birth to their daughter – with the England captain sharing a picture of his newborn on social media while he cheered on the lads against the West Indies from home.
Mollie King
England seamer Stuart Broad is engaged to The Saturdays singer and now BBC Radio 1 presenter Mollie King – having first started dating officially in March 2018.
The pair split up after just five months due to their hectic schedules but soon got back together.
And in January last year, one of England’s best-ever fast bowlers proposed during a lovely walk in the countryside together and the couple got engaged.
The singer revealed the news on Instagram with a snap of the ring, she wrote: "A thousand times yes!
"I still can’t believe it, the most magical start to the new year! I can’t wait to spend all my years with you @stuartbroad ."
Daniella Anderson
Jimmy Anderson, England’s highest wicket-taker in Test history, is married to Daniella Lloyd.
The England legend first met the stunning model in a nightclub in London while playing for his country in 2004.
After Daniella effectively gave up her modelling career to move north with him, the pair got married in a Manchester hotel in 2006 – with Jimmy stating he was a "much happier person" after tying the knot with the love of his life.
The pair welcomed their first child, Lola Rose, in January 2009 – before he flew off to the West Indies on England duty..
And just a year later, Daniella gave birth to their second child – Ruby.
But tragically, the couple went through the heartbreaking loss of their son at just 13 weeks when Daniella had a miscarriage.
Clare Ratcliffe
England all-rounder Ben Stokes married his childhood love Clare Ratcliffe back in 2017 – after initially meeting during their teen years.
They tied the knot in the picturesque St Mary's Church in East Brent, Somerset – which is where Clare grew up.
Stuart Broad, Jos Buttler, Alex Hales and Paul Collingwood were all at the wedding ceremony, as well as England skipper Joe Root.
The pair have two kids, Layton and daughter Libby, and Clare – who is a primary school teacher – has jokingly described herself as a "cricket widow and PA to Ben Stokes".

Jos Buttler is married to Louise, a pilates instructor, who runs her own business LB Pilates, in Clapham, London.
They tied the knot back in October 2017 in a romantic ceremony in Somerset before jetting off on their honeymoon to Positano, Italy.

The couple then had their second daughter Margot, in September 2021.

They became parents to daughter Laila for the first time in 2018.
And in October last year, they became parents for the second time when little baby Evie was born.
Posting an adorable snap on Instagram, Chris wrote: "Evie Louise Woakes entered our world on Thursday 1st October 2020. Mum was amazing and Dad couldn’t be any prouder of his 3 girls. Laila is over the moon with her little sister."

They jetted off on a romantic trip to Paris for their honeymoon and she often cheers on her other half on his England cricket tours.
They became parents for the first time in October 2019 when Sarah gave birth to a baby boy.
He explained that Sarah had been helping to feed the bowling machine in net sessions in Newcastle so he could improve his ability with the bat.
"She's laughing telling me to get in line," he admitted. "She got me a couple of times."

Spin bowler Dom Bess is in a relationship with Phoebe Slee.
The pair have been together for several years and she will no doubt be cheering him on during the Ashes.
Bess made his Test debut for England against Pakistan on 24 May 2018 at Lord's.
In the second test of the series, Bess took his first Test wicket and overall in the match, he took 3 wickets and contributed 49 with the bat.
In January 2020, in the third Test against South Africa, Bess went on to take his maiden five-wicket haul in Test cricket.

Burns is very close to his school, Surrey and England teammate Jason Roy, both of them serving as each other's best man at their weddings.
Lydie Stephenson
Lydie Stephenson is in a relationship with England star Dan Lawrence.
In December 2020, Lawrence was named in England's Test squad for their series against Sri Lanka.
He made his international bow in the opening Test of this series scoring an impressive 73 in the first innings before being caught at short leg.
In June 2021, Lawrence took his maiden international wicket of New Zealand’s Will Young during day two of the England vs New Zealand second Test match.
Lucy Hawkins
Spinner Jack Leach, who was picked instead of Stuart Broad for the first Test, is currently in a relationship with Lucy Hawkins.
The couple regularly share pictures together on social media.
On 16 March 2018, he was called up to England's Test squad for the tour of New Zealand as an injury replacement for Mason Crane. He made his debut in the second Test in Christchurch.
