Adorable ‘Simba Cam’ has sports fans re-enacting The Lion King with their dogs

Sports fans are going wild over the "adorable" Simba Cam that sees match-going supporters lift their four-legged friends into the air during a break in play.

The sensational mid-game segment has been captured on social media by Canadian outlet The Sports Network, which sees a rousing tannoy announcement of "Simba cam" barked out before fans are encouraged to hurl their hounds above their heads.

Taking inspiration from the iconic scene in the Lion King, when Simba is flaunted to the animal kingdom shortly after his birth, supporters are demanding the crazy fan interactivity be implemented across the globe.

"I was today years old when I found Out about the Simba Cam and Im in Love," commented one endearing fan. "what stadium is this? I now want to go just because I can bring my dog and the fact they do this," howled a second.

"One thing I’d take from American sport and introduce into the Premier League," hailed a supportive third. "All the dogs lookin at each other tryn figure wats going on," joked a fourth.

"Most dogs looking like: seriously mum and dad? We’re doing this? And some: I was born for this moment!" hailed a fifth.

Whilst one supporter already had plans on how to improve the four-legged interval, "Omg adorable. It would be amazing if you collaborated with a local shelter to do this and put their names on the screen and how to adopt at the end!"

Yet despite the mass approval from fans across the pond, it's unlikely the Premier League will be incorporating a half-time screening of the Lion King into stadiums with supporters' dogs lifted over the away fans.

They'd have to be barking mad!
