Nate Diaz announces his own MMA promotion, with UFC star launching ‘Real Fight Inc.’ as he prepares for huge clash against Khamzat Chimaev – in what could be fan favourite’s farewell

UFC superstar Nate Diaz has announced plans to create his own combat sports promotion entitled Real Fight Inc.
Diaz announced in a press release that he plans to apply for a promoter’s license to host events including boxing, MMA and Brazilian Jiu-jitsu bouts.
The press release also stressed that the venture will have ‘no bearing on his status as a fighter, where he will continue to be very active’.

Diaz will face off against Khamzat Chimaev in the main event of UFC 279 on Saturday
Diaz’s decision to enter the world of combat sports promotion comes just days before his UFC 279 main event clash against undefeated welterweight prospect Khamzat Chimaev.
The clash will mark the final fight on Diaz’s current UFC contract, with the former title challenger not expected to renew his deal with the promotion after a well-publicised dispute with the UFC brass.
Famed for his 2016 victory over Conor McGregor, Diaz has become one of the most well-loved fighters in the sport of MMA thanks to his fan-friendly fighting style and iconoclastic personality.

This isn’t the first time one of the Diaz brothers have embarked into a career in fight promotion however.
After losing to Georges St-Pierre in the main event of UFC 158, Nick Diaz launched his War MMA promotion in his native California.
Premiering with a 12-fight card in 2013, War MMA would not continue beyond its inaugural event and has since remained on an indefinite hiatus.

Nate will be applying for his promotors license in the coming weeks to form Real Fight, Inc., a new promotion that will focus on promoting combat sports shows, specifically boxing, MMA and BJJ.
The new venture has no bearing on his status as a fighter, where he will continue to be very active. Real Fight, Inc. is his expansion into the business side of the sport where he has been a fixture for close to 20 years.
The promotion will look attract fighters from around the world, whether it be up and coming prospects or household names who fit the brand of ‘Real Ninjas. Real Fighters. Real S***.’
