UFC fans are furious with referee Marc Goddard after he stepped in to wave off Alex Pereira’s bout with Jiri Prochazka on Saturday evening.
Pereira and Prochazka went toe-to-toe in a highly anticipated bout at the Madison Square Garden in New York City on Saturday night.
However, fans were left feeling somewhat disappointed when the fight was stopped just four minutes and eight seconds into the second round.
They felt as thought Goddard stepped in too soon – despite the fact had taken several hooks and a flurry of elbows to the head.
However, Prochazka had no objections to the referee’s interjection and actually admitted to being ‘out’ when he took the punishment from Pereira.
