Conor McGregor will beat Dustin Poirier in their highly-anticipated trilogy bout at UFC 264 this Saturday night, says lightweight star Kevin Lee.
McGregor lost to Poirier at UFC Fight Island in Abu Dhabi in January and is eyeing revenge in Las Vegas, having lost two of his last three MMA contests.
The winner will be in line to face newly-crowned UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira and in a career-defining fight for the Irishman, Lee has backed him to beat Poirier, just like he did in their first showdown back in 2014.

However, 28-year-old Lee does not back either McGregor nor Poirier to beat Oliveira further down the line.
‘I see Conor maybe winning this one, I think he will make the adjustments and win it,’ Lee told Helen Yee, as reported in The Sun.
‘But regardless, either one of them I don’t think have the complete game to beat somebody like Charles Oliveira.
‘With Charles you’ve got to be on your P’s and Q’s the whole time and you’ve got to have the skills behind it.

‘I think Dustin has had a lot of fights and he is kind of coming into his own, but I think he is starting to hit a plateau period where he kind of does what he does.
‘But there is no new wrinkles added to his game. You have to hit Charles with something new.’
Lee himself was set to fight on the undercard on Saturday but had to withdraw from his bout against Sean Brady due to injury.
