UFC president Dana White has been slammed by fans for his reaction to Paddy Pimblett’s controversial win over Jared Gordon on Saturday.
Pimblett was competing in just his fourth fight with the organisation and took a step up in class against Gordon. Many observers felt that he came off second best in the contest, but the three judges disagreed as they all scored the bout 29-28 in Pimblett’s favour.
White was standing at ringside as the verdict was read out, and appeared very relieved as he nodded at some of Pimblett’s fans when the popular Brit was declared the winner. Some fans have suggested that his reaction was a bad look for the sport, and that White already knew the result before it had been announced.

‘Dana had a look on his face like “see, told you it was in the bag”… all kinds of shady s*** going on in the UFC,’ one fan claimed on Twitter.
‘He can’t even stand to look at the octagon. What a joke and an embarrassment!’ another supporter wrote.
‘Dana had his back turned because he didn’t want to watch the homicide that was about to be committed,’ another fan added.
Pimblett’s win came just days after he appeared on a podcast with White, highlighting the friendship that exists between the pair.
Pimblett insisted after his victory over Gordon that he deserved to have his hand raised, but a number of fans and UFC fighters felt the American had been robbed.
The 27-year-old’s win comes amid an FBI investigation into potential fight fixing that occurred last month.
A fight between Darrick Minner and Shayilan Nuerdanbieke on November 5 is being looked into after ‘suspicious betting patterns’ were discovered prior to the bout.
White spoke about the investigation over the weekend, admitting that fight fixing is a ‘huge concern’ and claimed anyone caught will be sent to prison.
