Dustin Poirier snubs UFC rivals Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz in festive message
Dustin Poirier has celebrated the Christmas period whilst taking a jab at his UFC rivals Conor McGregor,Nate Diaz and Colby Covington.
Poirier's message comes after he missed out on the UFC lightweight title against Charles Oliveira earlier this month.
'The Diamond' was choked out by Oliveira in their fight at UFC 269, marking the second time Poirier has missed out on the undisputed 155-pound title.
The UFC star admitted he was "disgusted" with his performance in the fight and even pondered retirement following the loss.
But Poirier has seemingly made a U-turn on his plans after calling out fan favourite Nate Diaz for a fight.
And he fuelled his rivalry with McGregor, Diaz and Covington whilst wishing his fans a Merry Christmas.
He wrote: "Merry Christmas to everyone!!… except Nathaniel, Conor and Colby but everyone else hope you have a great day!!
Poirier and Diaz agreed to fight at the UFC's pay-per-view event on January 22, with the promotion also giving the fight the go-ahead.
But Poirier claimed that Diaz doesn't want to fight in January, with UFC 271 being a new candidate to host the fight.
The pair were also booked to fight at UFC 230 in 2018, but Poirier pulled out of the fight due to a hip injury.
Poirier said that despite his loss to Oliveira, it didn't spoil a successful year in which he won two fights against McGregor.
The American has since been told a fourth fight with the Irishman is "pointless" as he now holds two wins over him.
Poirier – who revealed his plans to move up to welterweight – also took a shot at his former training partner Covington in the tweet.
Covington and Poirier used to train together at American Top Team, but the pair have become rivals since Covington left the gym.

And Covington has welcomed Poirier to 170-pounds whilst calling out his wife and infant daughter.
“Dustin Soyrier. Louisiana swamp trash, he said a lot of things too in the media. Now he’s saying that he might come up to 170," Covington told Submission Radio.
"He wants to come fight in a real man’s weight class. So, this is another personal fight. These are different types of fights, man.
"This isn’t about the rankings, this is about personal grudges and being held accountable for your actions.
“You talk too much s***. You know, you can bring your little Jezabel of a wife, bring that little kid you used a prop, bring the whole Louisiana swamp trash family, and let’s do this, man."
