Conor McGregor claims he wants to ‘eat Khabib Nurmagomedov’s children’ in tweet
Conor McGregor has deleted a tweet aimed at former UFC rival Khabib Nurmagomedov claiming he would 'eat his children'.
The Irishman has posted a series of tweets aimed at the Russian star in recent months, as their bitter rivalry has continued ever since his defeat to the former lightweight champion at UFC 229 in 2018.
In his last deleted tweet, the 33-year-old appeared to mock his former opponent's late father which was condemned by many as 'crossing the line'.
And now in his latest exploit, McGregor has made a vile remark at his rival claiming he would 'eat his children' after Khabib featured on Mike Tyson's podcast Hotboxin'.
"I wanna eat his children!!!!," McGregor's latest deleted tweet read before its removal.
"When’s the last time he’s even seen them actually? His wife? Mother?
"How bout you go spend some time with your kids and family for a change and keep my name out of your mouth b4 you get trapped somewhere again you mightn’t be so lucky next time.”
This joins one of many tweeting tirades that have come from the Irishman's account that have later been deleted, and is all since an original rant inside the cage that caused further controversy aimed at Dustin Poirier and his wife after his UFC 264 defeat.
UFC champion Charles Oliveira has admitted that the Irishman's latest injury is 'sad for the sport' but the 33-year-old has been backed to come back 'stronger than ever' by teammate Brian Moore.
Khabib has since responded to McGregor's previous deleted tweet about his father, and launched a scathing assault on his former opponent which lead to his new outburst.
“When he talked about this, only evil can talk about your father, wife, kids, religion,” Nurmagomedov said on Mike Tyson's Hotboxin' podcast.
“If you’re normal human, you’re never going to talk about this stuff. For me, I think he post this tweet (while) drunk too much or (he was doing) something.
"Then the next day, he always delete these tweets. When he become normal life (he looks at his phone) and says, ‘Oh, look what I did.’ Then he delete. This is my opinion what he do all the time.
“When someone is not with us – he is not even alive – this shows what you have inside. This shows how dirty you are.
"When you one of the best in the world and you come and you punch someone who is like 70 years old, like an old man (in a pub), this shows your heart. This shows who you are inside, how dirty you are.
"When you have parents and you have kids, how can you show yourself like this? I don’t understand why his close people don’t go, ‘Hey, what’s going on?'"
McGregor could find himself in hot water with the UFC after his comments aimed at Poirier, as he could face further sanctioned punishment, but with all of the recent antics he has been seen 'making light' of his injury posing for an advert for his whiskey brand Proper Twelve.
