A son of highly rated sprint sire Hellbent who loves racing fresh is set to return with a bang at Monday’s Bathurst meeting.
Raise Hell, a lightly raced four-year-old based in the Danny Williams stable at Goulburn, hasn’t started since dropping out a long last in a Class 2 at Canberra in mid-April.

That run, though, was right out of context, given he had swept home to win a Class 2 at home first-up before finishing close-up again in a strong BM 58 carrying 61kg.
Subsequent vet checks found the horse had not suffered any injury, and it was thought he had been affected by kickback and reportedly was never comfortable on a soft surface.
Raise Hell was given an embargo by stewards, and immediately spelled, only re-emerging a fortnight ago when given an easy trial at home.
Tackling an open but winnable Benchmark 58 Hcp over 1100m at Bathurst, both wins from just seven starts for Raise Hell have come when fresh off a break.
In a race of several chances, Raise Hell was quoted around the $4.80 mark in early betting ahead of last start BM 58 winner at Dubbo Young Heart at $5.50.
The gelding only came to NSW late last year having started his career with the Natalie McCall yard in Queensland.
Meanwhile, the long wait for a breakthrough win could be over for connections of honest Dubbo mare Kirameki when she lines up for her 24th start in a Maiden Plate over 1400m to start the meeting.
Placed nine times since debuting 20 months ago as a provincial galloper, the five-year-old daughter of Mikki Isle has run home into the placings in four of her last six starts across a near 12-week span.
But she’s never looked better placed than here, carrying only half kilo over the 55kg minimum, and knowing the early short-priced favourite Vonk was preferred at Nowra on Sunday.
