Golden Slipper jockeys secured for Godolphin runners
Racing superpower Godolphin has secured two riders for Saturday week’s $3.5 million Golden Slipper (1200m).
The James Cummings stable currently has four horses qualified and in the top 16 horses in training in the order of entry.
Last Saturday’s Todman Stakes winner Anamoe is exempt from the Golden Slipper ballot while Saturday’s Pago Pago Stakes nomination Ingratiating is currently at the top of the order of entry for those not ballot exempt in sixth place with Sneaky Five currently spelling.
Magic Night Stakes entry Arcaded is 14th in the order of entry but moves up to ninth with five horses above the filly not accepting on Saturday week – Sneaky Five (6th), Finance Tycoon (8th), Alpine Edge (9th), Dosh (10th) and Enthaar (11th).
Godolphin trainer James Cummings confirmed Rachel King and Damien Oliver have been secured to ride two members of his Golden Slipper team but as yet he’s not declaring which jockey will partner which horse.

King won on Anamoe last week and will ride Ingratiating on Saturday while Oliver plies his trade at The Valley in the All-Star Mile.
Oliver had ridden Anamoe in his first four starts prior to the colt’s Sydney debut last Saturday in the Todman Stakes while he also rode Ingratiating in the Frosted colt’s first four starts prior to his second in the Blue Diamond Stakes when ridden by Willie Pike.
Anamoe is a $9 chance with TAB for the Golden Slipper while Ingratiating is at $15.
Ingratiating is the $3.50 pre-field favourite for the Pago Pago Stakes on Saturday while their fillies are also in the Market for the Magic Night Stakes. Arcaded is the $6 second elect behind $4 favourite Mallory with Testimonial at $11.
