Cranbourne races: Tips, odds and analysis with Brad Waters
Herald Sun form analyst Brad Waters runs the rule over Friday night’s card at Cranbourne.
BEST BET
OKAY TO PAY (Race 6 No. 10 – $2.90)
Okay To Pay was well backed and got the money on debut at Cranbourne. She’s up in class but has plenty of talent and is capable of remaining unbeaten on Friday night.

NEXT BEST
ARROANCE (Race 2 No. 9 – $12)
Arroance chased home the impressive winner Canadian Gold first-up, showing she had returned in good order. Arroance stays at 1000m for this and rates a great each-way chance at double-figure odds.
WYLD SAVANNA (Race 3 No. 11 – $1.65)
Wyld Savanna is a touch short in betting so hopefully she eases out a touch in the lead-up to Friday night’s race. The three-year-old was sound at Sandown second-up and should be harder to beat this time.
MAGNETIC (Race 8 No. 8 – $4.40)
Magnetic led and bolted in to win a maiden at Cranbourne second-up with the manner of the win indicating the gelding can work through his grades. Expect him to score again from barrier two.

VALUE BET
VITANI (Race 7 No. 10 – $19)
Vitani hasn’t won for a long time but he was narrowly beaten by the handy Need New Friends at Geelong first-up last prep. Vitani trialled well when second in a Cranbourne heat on March 9 and could bob up at odds fresh.
THE JOCKEY
DANIEL MOOR
Daniel Moor is riding in good form with four wins from 11 rides this week so it makes sense to follow him at Cranbourne, where he has seven rides on Friday night.
BEACH LAP (Race 1 No. 1 – $10), SPIRITED TOFF (Race 2 No. 5 – $51), BLUE ANGEL (Race 4 No. 8 – $2.40), EITILT (Race 5 No. 5 – $18), PICCADILLY WALTZ (Race 6 No. 11 – $1), WISH I MIGHT (Race 7 No. 8 – $19), BOMBER’S KISS (Race 8 No. 7 – $26).
Bendigo will be the scene of Saturday’s major Victorian meeting while Wodonga also races. Sale will hold a nine-race card on Sunday while the rescheduled Buchan Cup meeting will also be run. Monday racing returns to Victoria with a Kyneton meeting before Mornington hosts Tuesday’s fixtures. Sandown Hillside will be the scene of Wednesday’s Melbourne meeting.
