Cheltenham Festival weather and track condition for highly-anticipated Gold Cup
The Cheltenham Festival goes into its final day with the Gold Cup the feature race of the day – and the latest forecast and track conditions make for good reading.
The latest inspection on Friday March 19 has the latest going as good to soft, good (in places) for the final day of the festival.
It has been a mild week at Prestbury park which has led to further drying of the ground.
Simon Claisse, the clerk of the course, told ITV Racing earlier this morning: "There is a little drizzle in the air this morning and the going on the chase and hurdle course is now good to soft, good in places."
Conditions are due to remain dry for the whole day, with some sunshine poking through later in the afternoon.
