Woods NOT asked about ongoing legal battle with ex-girlfriend Herman
Tiger Woods is NOT asked about ongoing legal battle with ex-girlfriend Erica Herman ahead of the Masters… as the legendary golfer speaks to the press for the first time since being taken to court in a £24m lawsuit over alleged sexual abuse to void an NDA
- Tiger Woods split up with his ex-girlfriend of six years Erica Herman in October
- Herman has since taken the golfer to court in a £24m lawsuit to void an NDA
- Woods wasn’t asked about this by reporters ahead of this year’s Masters starting
Tiger Woods was not questioned about his ex-girlfriend Erica Herman or their ongoing legal battle when speaking to the press ahead of the Masters getting underway on Thursday.
Woods has headed to Augusta for the first Major of the golfing calendar with personal issues surrounding him once again.
Ex-girlfriend Herman has alleged sexual abuse in a lawsuit to void an NDA in a $30million (£24m) lawsuit against the golfer – accusations Woods has denied – and also claims he tricked her into leaving the Florida mansion they lived in together for six years following their breakup in October.
This was the first time Woods had addressed reporters since it was revealed he had split with Herman last month – with the pair breaking up after a six-year relationship.
It was only reported when news broke that Herman was taking the legendary golfer to court to nullify an NDA she claims he allegedly made her sign soon after they had got together.

Woods has won five Masters titles in his career but has personal issues surrounding him again
Herman believes the NDA should not be enforced as a result of the Speak Out Act – something that allows NDA’s to be voided in instances of sexual assault or harassment.
The New York Post revealed Woods had labelled Herman as a ‘jilted ex-girlfriend’ in documents they obtained as a response to her filing the case, which also claim Woods’s ex-partner had not previously alleged misconduct.
Ahead of Tuesday’s press conference, Woods played a practice round with friend Rory McIlroy.
The American returned to golf last spring following a horrific car crash in 2021 that almost resulted in him losing his leg.
He returned to compete in last year’s Masters – a major he has won five times but not since 2019.
His caddie, Joe LaCava, insisted this week that any distractions surrounding his split from Herman would not impact him.
‘Being in the spotlight you’re always going to get punches thrown at you,’ he told the New York Post.
‘I think Tiger’s been through so many different things in the public eye — good, bad or indifferent — that I’m not saying you get used to it, it bothers you regardless.

Joe LaCava – long-time caddie for Woods – has no doubts about his mindset during this week
‘But I think he’s got the mindset that he’s able to deal with (the Herman case) even though it’s in the public, and still do what he has to on the golf course and at home with his family.
‘Tiger’s still well received. We played a practice round Monday morning and there were still a million people out there and they were going crazy for him.
‘There might be one or two guys who are less of a fan, but the majority still love the guy.’
Woods begins round one at 2:12PM GMT on Thursday alongside Norway’s Viktor Hovland and fellow American Xander Schauffele.
