Dustin Johnson’s errant drive nails unsuspecting staffer at Saudi International

It’s not every day on the golf course that you get smacked by an errant drive. Especially when said drive came from one of the world’s best golfers.

One lucky individual — or, er, unlucky — crossed that off some weird bucket list Friday after he was struck by none other than Dustin Johnson, winner of the 2019-20 PGA Tour.

Johnson’s shot came on the par-4 10th hole of the Saudi International at the Royal Greens Golf Club in Saudi Arabia; his drive seemed to have gone way, way left and hit the unsuspecting individual square in his right shoulder blade. While it’s certainly not a laughing matter, the TV commentary saying “he’s just fine” as he doubled over was pretty darn funny.

No shame to the gentleman, either: Not many people could take a reported 177 mph drive in the back and walk away unscathed.

Johnson earned par on the hole, by the way. So, no harm done! Almost.
