Local footy fury after ‘worst ump decision of all time’
A country footy club is considering an appeal after a matchwinning goal after the siren was overturned due to the non-officiating umpire claiming the player, former The Recruit star Brendan Goss, had played on.
Scores were level in the North Central Football League clash between Donald and Wedderburn, 56-all, when Goss marked and then lined up for his fifth goal of the day.
Goss – who impressed in the first season of the Fox8 footy reality show, but suffered an injury during taping – kicked truly, seemingly winning the game for Donald.

The field umpire signalled all clear and the goal umpire signalled a goal, however the non-officiating field umpire ran in claiming Goss had played on.
The goal was therefore taken off the scoreboard and the final score remained 9.2 (56) to 8.8 (56). Watch the video in the tweet below.

Foxfooty.com.au understands Donald is looking at appealing the decision.
Goss posted a video of his run-up and goal on social media, calling it “potentially the worst umpiring decision in the history of any sport of all time”.
It certainly didn’t look like he played on.
