Greetings, everybody

Hello and welcome to our rolling coverage of day two of the second Test between Pakistan and Australia from Karachi.

The first day was all about Usman Khawaja who hit his 11th Test century to reach stumps at 127 not out.

Khawaja, 35, is ageing like a fine wine, having now hit three centuries and a 97 in his last six innings.

The opener was the major reason why Australia found themselves in a strong position heading into day two on 3-251, while Steve Smith compiled a patient 72. Nightwatchman Nathan Lyon (zero) is the other not-out batsman.

Hasan Ali (1-31 from 12 overs) and Faheem Ashraf (1-32 from 13) are the hosts’ only wicket-takers.
