The Australian media has continued to blast the English over the controversial Ashes stumping of Jonny Bairstow at Lord’s.
Australia wicket-keeper Alex Carey was accused of ‘cheating’ after throwing the stumps down when England batter Bairstow had walked out of his crease, believing the over had finished.
The umpires stated the Yorkshire star was out and the visitors did not withdraw their appeal, thus breaking the crucial partnership.
Australia ended up winning the second Test on Sunday by 43 runs after ripping through the England tail after that wicket, taking a 2-0 lead in the series.
England captain Ben Stokes said he would not have done the same thing if the shoe were on the other foot.

Several English commentators, pundits and public figures have spoken out on the incident at the Home of Cricket.
Prime Minister Rishi Sunak insisted it was against the ‘spirit of cricket’, while TV presenter Piers Morgan also criticised the Australians’ actions and former England player Geoffrey Boycott called on the visiting team to apologise.
And an Australian newspaper responded by continuing to label the English ‘crybabies’ over the incident.
One mocked up pictures of Stokes, Sunak, Morgan and Boycott as babies wearing dummies.
The headline read: ‘Even the Monty Python crew have joined the cry babies as England’s old stiff upper lip is now… THE WOBBLY LOWER LIP’.
On Monday evening, Morgan posted a picture of the paper spread with the caption: ‘Aussie papers taking my critiques of their cricket team’s foul play well…’ followed by a cry-laughing emoji.
Earlier, Stokes bit back at another Australian newspaper which photoshopped an image of him dressed in a nappy with a dummy on their front page holding an unspoilt cricket ball, while branding his England team ‘crybabies’.
He joked ‘that’s definitely not me, since when did I bowl with the new ball’.
