AFL star Tom Hawkins hilariously roasts Cristiano Ronaldo
Geelong star Tom Hawkins has posted a hilarious photo which he says should be worth $5.2 billion.
The Cats forward celebrated his team’s monster, after-the-siren win over the Western Bulldogs on Friday night with a can of Coca-Cola.
The image of him celebrating the milestone game for teammate Joel Selwood included a photo posted to Instagram that pokes fun at the global storm created by Cristiano Ronaldo this week..
The football icon’s seemingly innocent decision to remove two Coca-Cola bottles from the table at a press conference and gentle reminder to “drink water” sent the world into a spin.
The soft-drink company saw $AUD 5.2 billion wiped off its market value after Ronaldo’s stunt.
Hawkins says his photo should correct the imbalance.
“After the Ronaldo snub earlier in the week wiped billions off coca-cola’s market value, I’d expect this to have the same sort of impact the other way,” he joked.

He is far from the only one to poke fun at the Portugal megastar, with press conferences filled with hilarious moments during this week’s Euro 2020 press conferences.
Hawkins’ picture with Selwood also commemorated the moments the two Cats stars became the most winningest teammates in the history of the AFL with 194 shared wins.
Hawkins earlier this month shared another hilarious image of his daughter committing the ultimate betrayal of supporting the Western Bulldogs, and star Marcus Bontempelli.
He said on Friday night his daughter had even said: “Go Doggies” before he made his way to the match.
