World’s Scariest Man breaks medicine ball after Iranian Hulk fight gets scrapped

The World’s Scariest Man Martyn Ford has broken a medicine ball during a gym session after his bout with the Iranian Hulk was cancelled.

The fitness influencer and actor was gearing up for a heavyweight bout with Hulk- real name Sajad Gharibi – on April 30 at the O2 Arena but it was scrapped for reasons unknown. Ford, 39, has said that despite the setback he will keep training hard. And it seems that his rigorous training sessions have resulted in a medicine ball being torn up, with Ford posting an image on his Instagram story.

"Oh dear… RIP ball. Broke your ball and your box." Ford commented. Medicine balls can typically weigh up to 10kg and are known for their sturdiness, meaning it would take a huge amount of brute strength to inadvertently tear one. Elsewhere in the story, Ford was seen doing intense step-ups and even pressing a 50kg dumbbell with one arm.

The Brit, who weighs around 22 stone and is six feet 9 inches tall, is targeting another boxing fight after his one with Hulk collapsed. It’s thought that a match between the former actor and Hafthor Bjornsson could be on the cards after the Game of Thrones star defeated Eddie Hall on March 19.

Ford announced that his one with Hulk was called off in an announcement just weeks before the fight. "This is a statement I didn't want to have to release but unfortunately my fight is going to be postponed," Ford said during a video released on social media. "The event is still on, it's just my fight.

Do you think Ford and Hulk will eventually meet in the ring? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.

"The event will still go ahead and there are some great people and fights on. Unfortunately, mine won't be one of them, for reasons out of my control. It doesn't take a genius to figure them all out. I don't want to go down the route of talking about it; too much time and energy has been wasted.

"I'm still training hard, there will be a debut. there will be a fight, I'm just not 100 per cent sure who, when or why, but it will happen.”
