Deontay Wilder has vowed to run Tyson Fury over like a freight train when they face off for their heavyweight trilogy fight next month after showing off his incredible strength on the bench press.

The Bronze Bomber is thirsty for revenge after being brutally stopped by Fury in their rematch last February and has promised bloodshed when they meet again on July 24 in Las Vegas.

Wilder, who is now working with a new trainer in Malik Scott, is convinced he will right the wrongs from his first professional defeat and set the record straight by defeating Fury to win back his WBC world title.

After lifting the huge weight, Wilder then vowed to run over Tyson Fury like a freight train

The American knockout artist has been sharing the work he’s been putting in ahead of facing Fury for a third time and posted footage of him fired up after lifting a huge 310lb (140kg) weight on the bench press on his Instagram.

After successfully managing one rep, Wilder leaped off his seat screaming before looking directly at the camera to send a message to Fury.

‘I’m a train baby, you say you’re a semi truck, I’m going to run you over like a freight train. You better get your weight up.’

Wilder’s warning to Fury comes after the self-styled Gypsy King said he would ‘run him over like an 18-wheeler’ and knock him out quicker than he did last time.

Fury said he will run Wilder over like an 18-wheeler at the press conference earlier this month

Speaking at the press conference earlier this month, Fury said: ‘I gave my game plan away the first time because he wasn’t good enough to do anything about it, I’ll do the same thing this time.

‘Deontay Wilder is a one trick pony, he has one punch power, we all know that, great. What I’ll do to him this time is run him over as if I’m an 18-wheeler and he’s a human being, I guarantee you it does not go past where it did before.

‘I’ve had 18 months of practicing what I’m gonna do to him. I want to get up to 300 pounds for this fight and I’m looking for the big knockout straight away.’

It’s unlikely that Fury will be intimidated at all by Wilder’s weight-lifting strength while his heavyweight rival Dillian Whyte made it abundantly clear that he was not impressed in the slightest.

‘Look at this clown with the baby bench press,’ he wrote on his Instagram story after watching Wilder’s video.

Dillian Whyte was less than impressed with Wilder’s video, calling him a ‘clown’

Fury, who was supposed to be fighting Anthony Joshua this summer before a judge ordered him to face Wilder again at the eleventh hour, has always maintained that he has the beating of any heavyweight despite not having the muscles and being ‘body beautiful’ and has reduced unified champion AJ to being ‘just a body builder’ on numerous occasions in the past.

The WBC champion will need to defend his title against Wilder and pray that Joshua defeats Oleksandr Usyk to keep alive any chances of the two Brits fighting for the undisputed championship.

During an interview with talkSPORT last Thursday, Joshua was asked who he was backing to win between his heavyweight rivals.

After briefly hesitating, Joshua said: ‘I don’t mind, I don’t mind.

‘But Fury won the last one so I’ll go with Fury because you’re only as good as your last performance. But good luck to them both.’

Anthony Joshua believes Fury has got Wilder’s number and will defeat him again next month

Asked about his plans for the immediate future, Joshua insisted he’s ‘got no other option’ than to beat Usyk and continue to work towards that unification fight in the future.

He added: ‘I’ve got to defend my title. I’m going to be training alongside the team preparing for my championship fight while these guys prepare for the Olympics.

‘I’m going to win because I have to. I’ve got no other option and then I’m going to get on to the next fight which is the undisputed.

‘So we’re back on the road to undisputed, I’m supporting the Olympic boys and then when they finish with a bang hopefully the next fight I have will be an undisputed fight so there will be so many eyes on the boxing scene in 2021 and 2022.’
