Wilder had daring bonk two hours before he made professional boxing debut

Deontay Wilder took a huge risk ahead of his professional boxing debut by having sex just two hours before the fight got underway.

Wilder, then 23, was preparing for his first major fight in the spotlight against Ethan Cox in Nashville, Tennesse, back in 2008. And his career was nearly over before it got started as the heavyweight succumbed to his sexual desires.

The bout was just two hours away when Wilder was overcome by an urge to have a quick romp with ex-wife Jessica Lynn Scales, which he acted on. The American star admitted he couldn't stop himself from ravishing his partner whose presence got him aroused.

And when he reached the pinnacle of sexual tension, nothing was going to stop the Bronze Bomber from fulfilling his intimate desires irrespective of the looming battle against Cox. Speaking to iFL TV about his sexual exploit, Wilder said: “So many things went wrong with my debut, I end up having sex two hours before the fight.

“I got horny man, I ant even gonna lie, I had my wife in there with me and you just start thinking freaky thoughts. That’s why it ain’t good to have your partner in there with you, but for me, I like the company.

“I like being around family, especially the ones I love, giving me motivation to do what I got to do when it’s time.

“With that right there, that’s a mindset you have to overcome, my mindset – I didn’t care, I thought I’m going to get this p**** you know what I’m saying." But Wilder remarkably claims his pre-fight bonk gave him the power to knock Cox out in the second round.

He continued: "With me sex gives me energy, that’s why I was able to go in there and blast him (Ethan Cox) out." However, Wilder wasn't able gauge any sexual power from current fiancee Telli Swift during his trilogy loss to Tyson Fury last October.

Heavy hitting Fury laid out his rival in the 11th round of their third fight to the horror of Swift, who ran out of the T-Mobile Arena in tears after witnessing her partner's defeat. Wilder's been out of action since then, but is open to getting back in the ring with Anthony Joshua, who lost to Oleksandr Usyk for the second time in August.
