What time does the Tszyu vs Spark fight start?

Following Michael Zerafa’s controversial withdrawal, Australian boxing star Tim Tszyu will face Queensland rival Steve Spark at Newcastle’s Entertainment Centre on Wednesday evening.

Tszyu has held the Australian middleweight title since 2019, boasting an impeccable career record of 18 wins (14KOs) and zero defeats.

Spark meanwhile is coming off 11 consecutive victories, 10 of which were knockouts.

His last defeat was way back in 2015 – a majority decision loss to Baishanbo Nasiyiwula in what was just his second professional fight.

“The time for talk is over,” Spark said at Tuesday’s weigh-in.

“I’m coming for war, I’m coming to take Tim Tszyu out.”

What time is the fight?

Coverage will start on Main Event from 7pm AEST tonight, but as we know with boxing, timings are rarely exact.

Tszyu and Spark likely won’t enter the ring before 9.30pm AEST, with the opening bell on the main event probably leaning closer to 10pm.
