Anthony Joshua (24-1, 22 KOs) will defend his WBA (super), IBF, WBO and IBO heavyweight titles on Saturday against Oleksandr Usyk (18-0, 13 KOs), who is making his third appearance at heavyweight.

Joshua, who initially unified his heavyweight titles with a technical knockout win over Wladimir Klitschko in April of 2017, regained them after defeating Anthony Ruiz Jr. in a rematch in December of 2019. He then defeated Kubrat Pulev by knockout in December of 2020.

Usyk, who was the undisputed champion at cruiserweight, has risen to No. 4 in the heavyweight rankings, according to ESPN.com. He last defeated Derek Chisora by unanimous decision in October of 2020 and previously defeated Chazz Witherspoon by referee technical decision in October of 2019.

The winner of Joshua and Fury is likely to get closer to a top-tier fight with Tyson Fury, who is the WBC and The Ring heavyweight champion, or Deontay Wilder, who is entering a third bout with Fury on Oct. 9. The heavyweight division has not had an undisputed champion since Lennox Lewis in 2000.
