Tyson Fury’s body transformation makes mockery of his 12-pint-a-day claim
It's fair to say Tyson Fury's words can often be taken with more than a pinch of salt.
And judging by the most recent photo of him, his claims that he is "drinking 12 pints a day" look like they can be filed in his ever-growing list of claims that simply aren't true.
The Gypsy King's much-anticipated mega-money fight with fellow British heavyweight Anthony Joshua looks to be drawing ever closer after AJ's promoter Eddie Hearn claimed earlier this month that both men have now signed contracts.
And there are hopes that a venue and date for the bout can be confirmed in the next few weeks, with Saudi Arabia looking the most likely option.
However, as recently as March 12 many were worried the clash would not come to fruition after Fury claimed he had given up training and was living his best life.
In an interview with iFL TV he said: "I have stopped training at the moment, I am on holiday. I am drinking anything between eight, ten, 12 pints of lager a day at the minute.
"But I am not eating so I am getting my calories through alcohol. I have trained and trained and trained with no progress so I am now a man of leisure."
In spite of these comments, a photo which came to light on Wednesday showed Fury looking slim and in shape as he posed during a training session.
The 32-year-old certainly don't look like a man who has been boozing on the regular for the last few weeks, and it will come as no surprise to most that it appears Fury may have been telling porkies once again.
Meanwhile, Hearn is said to be hopeful that that a venue for the fight can be locked in this week, and he is expected to meet to discuss the possibility with various nations in the coming days.
