Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk's long awaited fight is finally set to become a reality.
On December 23 later this year, the pair will actually do battle in Saudi Arabia, with their bout set to take place in Riyadh less than 48 hours before Christmas Day. Usyk and Fury had been set to face off back in April, only for talks to collapse, resulting in the fight being called off.
The initial bout between Fury and Usyk was jeopardised by The Gypsy King, who consistently tried to add clauses, conditions and terms for the fight which served as a negotiating speed bump. However, ESPN's Mike Coppinger reports that Fury and Usyk's heavyweight championship bout will now go ahead in December after contracts had been signed by the pair.

While December 23 has been the date mentioned for the fight to take place, it has also been suggested that it could take place in early January. Coppinger wrote on X (formerly Twitter): "Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk have signed contracts for an undisputed heavyweight championship fight in Saudi Arabia, multiple sources told ESPN.
"Fight could take place December 23 or sometime in January, sources said. Fury first meets Francis Ngannou, October 28 in Saudi Arabia."

Should the fight go ahead on December 23, then it will take place just weeks after Fury's bout against UFC star Francis Ngannou in Saudi Arabia. Fury and Ngannou are set to face off in just over a month's time on October 28.
And it's a fight Fury admitted is the "biggest deal ever done in history". Speaking to The Sun, Fury said: "All the biggest and best sports stars are now Saudi Arabia-bound.
"The country is making big moves in sport and everything else. They are taking over boxing and any other sport that they want. They are paying big money for everything they get involved with.
The time for talking is almost over as KSI and Tommy Fury will bury their rivarly once and for all as they face off in Manchester on Saturday, October 14th. Logan Paul will also be fighting at the event in front of what is expected to be a sell-out crowd.
