Tyson Fury has posted a moving video to his cousin Rico Burton who was stabbed in an attack outside a bar at the weekend.
Police said were called to the "senseless stabbing" outside a bar on Goose Green in Altrincham, where two people had been stabbed, with Burton, aged 31, dying in hospital. Officers have now charged Liam O'Prey, 21, with murder.
Fury posted on Instagram: "This is becoming ridiculous idiots carry knives. This needs to stop asap. The UK GB government needs to bring higher sentencing for knife crime, its a pandemic and you don't know how bad it is until it's one of your own!

"Life is very precious and it can be taken away very quick enjoy every moment. RIP RICO BURTON. May the lord god grant you a good place in heaven. See you soon #onlycowardscarryweapons."
Fury has also posted a loving video tribute to Burton created by his cousin's old boxing gym, the Jimmy Egan's Boxing Academy where members are seen gathered in the ring. Pictures of Burton in boxing action are displayed in the video before a 10-bell ring was performed in his memory.
Head coach Steve Egan led the tribute, he said: "As most people know, especially in the boxing world, one of our ex-boxers Rico Burton got murdered, another victim of knife crime.
"Loads of us here have known him since he was a kid. We're proper heartbroken, he was part of this gym, part of the community, and it has really just knocked us sick. We're doing our little tribute to him, 10 bells which is a tradition in boxing, to pay our respects to him. Rico will always be remembered. Our thoughts are with his family and friends at this sad time. We're feeling it, I dread to imagine how bad they (his family) are feeling. All the best."
A statement from Greater Manchester Police confirmed O’Prey would appear before Manchester and Salford Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday charged with murder.
The statement added: "The family of the teenage victim have thanked all those who helped to provide first aid that night – including first responders – to allow him to continue his recovery in hospital, where he remains stable with some significant life-changing injuries."
