Tyson Fury confirms six-night ‘homecoming party’ to celebrate Deontay Wilder win

Tyson Fury is set for a six-night "homecoming" tour around the UK to celebrate his breath-taking victory over Deontay Wilder last month.

The Gypsy King won one of the most spectacular heavyweight bouts in recent memory, when he knocked his American opponent out in the 11th round of their trilogy fight.

That was after both fighters had hit the deck several times between them, but continued to show incredible resilience to get back up and keep swinging.

After a few days partying in Las Vegas to celebrate his win, Fury and wife Paris returned to the UK to spend time with their six children at their family home in Morecambe.

But next month he will officially be marking his "homecoming" with a six-night tour around major UK cities.

It begins with an event in his home city of Manchester on December 2, followed by similar shows in Birmingham, Cardiff, Leicester, London and Glasgow.

Fans will be able to ask questions of the heavyweight champion, with many likely to be keen to find out who and when he will next fight, while rumours of retirement may also be addressed.

Fury will also oblige those who attend with autographs and photos to remember the occasion.

Tickets for the tour will be on sale through Ticketmaster, with O2 Priority customers able to secure their place from November 3 while the general sale will begin two days later.

Fury is set for "an extended break" from the boxing scene after his win over Wilder, according to UK promoter Frank Warren.

He is set to be in his younger brother Tommy's corner next month as he goes up against YouTuber Jake Paul in Florida on December 18, and congratulated the latest Fury to enter the boxing world for "living the dream".

As for his own boxing future, Tyson's next outing – if there is to be one – is almost certain to be against the WBC's mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte.

If Fury retains his title in that fight, his next step would most likely be to take on the winner of the rematch between Anthony Joshua and Oleksandr Usyk in a bid to become the undisputed heavyweight champion.

Fury has offered to help Joshua train for his rematch after losing to the Ukrainian in September, as he wants to face him in an all-British clash – which would likely make far more cash for the fighters than a bout against Usyk would.

"We are 100 percent serious about helping Joshua in camp," Tyson's head trainer SugarHill Steward told talkSPORT.

"We want him to defeat Usyk, for a start, because we want to see Fury against Joshua, and so do all the fans of boxing in the world."
