Trash talk turns ugly as Paul Gallen calls Lucas Browne a ‘p****’
They kept their hands to themselves but Paul Gallen and Lucas Browne went as far as they could to get under each other’s skin at the final press conference before their heavyweight showdown.
The former NRL star turned fighter and the veteran Aussie boxer will throw down on Wednesday night in Woolongong and appear to have developed genuine dislike for one another in the lead-up.

Gallen shot from the hip with an ugly parting shot as they sat across from each other on Monday morning, boldly telling his opponent: “You’re such a soft c*** in real life. For a bloke who’s six-foot-five and covered in tattoos you’re such a p*ssy. You’re relentless on social media, but you get here and sh*t yourself. You’re going to sh*t yourself on Wednesday night too.”
Gallen has promised to end Browne’s days as a legitimate heavyweight contender by ruining his reputation with a loss to a “footballer”.
Browne has been near the top of the sport, famously TKO’ing WBA titleholder Ruslan Chagaev in 2016 before having his career derailed by knockout defeats against British pair Dillian Whyte and David Allen.

Those fighters are in a different class to Gallen, who has proven his toughness time and again while facing, and beating, the likes of Barry Hall and Mark Hunt, but is still vastly more inexperienced in the ring.
His football fame makes him a local cash cow and Browne, 42, says he’s ready to make some money and be the first person to defeat the former Sharks champ.
“I’ve appreciated all of the childish bullsh*t that has come out of his mouth,” Browne said.
“I realise it’s all for the build-up. I’ve done the videos of him singing and dancing and stuff, but it’s go time now.
“There’s no more bullsh*t, there’s no more anything else. I’m going to punch him in the face until he goes down.”
“I just think he’s a f*ckwit,” Browne added. “He’s an absolute deadset donkey. Look at the head on him. He’s just got a head that you want to punch.
“I’m going to knock him out. I’ll celebrate, I’ll get McDonalds afterwards. Then you look at maybe a Paul Gallen II, if he’s got the balls to step up again. There’s the Barry Halls, the Sonny Bill Williams, these footballers who want to come and fight and I’ll teach them as well.”

But Gallen appears to believe he has a genuine edge when it comes to his heart and will to win.
“I’m going to get in there and finish him, I’m going to beat him,” the 39-year-old said. “He’s not got what I’ve got. He’s got size, he’s got strength, he’s got power but he’s not got heart, which is what I’ve got.”
