Tommy Fury calls out Jake Paul after beating Anthony Taylor on points
Tommy Fury demanded a fight with YouTube star Jake Paul after labouring to victory over his sparring partner.
Fury outpointed Anthony Taylor over four rounds on the undercard of Paul's clash with former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley.
And after moving to 7-0 as a professional, Fury immediately called for Paul to agree to a fight after months of exchanging trash talking.
"It wasn't my best performance but at the end of the day if it was easy everyone would be doing it," he said.
"I'm learning day by day and I'm getting better. There was no danger at all, tonight went the way it went because it's in God's hands.
"Looking at that, Jake Paul should have an easy night so there are no excuses now.
"You've seen everybody in here, I got the biggest cheer of the night. No excuses, no running, no hiding. I want you next you bum!"
"Let’s get it on. It should be easy enough for him, I went four rounds with his sparring partner. It should be no test at all."
Fury was well received by the Cleveland crowd who had packed in in their thousands for the second fight of the night.
He tried to assert his authority on the much smaller Taylor from the first bell and the fight looked every bit the mismatch it had on paper.
Taylor did manage to land a couple of right hands in the opening session but Fury was in control.
He continued to dominate in the second round as Taylor looked to cling on at the first opportunity.
Taylor's footwork was contributing to his difficult night and he slipped to the canvas in the third round as Fury patiently picked off his shorter opponent.
Fury looked for the fight-finishing shot in the last round but Taylor clung on to hear the final bell with each of the three judges handing the travelling Brit all four rounds.
