- Tommy Fury has settled his feud with Youtuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul
- The Englishman’s split-decision victory has got social media buzzing

Tommy Fury’s split-decision win over YouTuber Jake Paul on Sunday evening saw social media fume, mock, and celebrate the Englishman’s win.
The duo settled their long-term grudge with one another in Saudi Arabia as Fury got the better of his American counterpart to maintain his status as one of the sport’s brightest young talents.
Fury was knocked down by Paul in the prize-fight encounter but rallied to beat his opponent on the scorecard having landed more strikes and being the more impressive contestant throughout the eight rounds.
Both fighters discussed the possibility of a rematch as the ring bell brought proceedings to an end, with Paul insisting he would activate his clause to fight Fury again.
However, other celebrities now want in on the action as Fury weighs up future fights that would see him climb the world rankings or attempts to further cash-in against other social media stars.

Fellow YouTuber-turned-boxer KSI laughed at both fighter’s in the aftermath of the bout, labelling both Fury and Paul as ‘rubbish’ as he laughed into the camera.
His video reactions followed an earlier tweet that saw KSI claim he would ‘destroy’ both fighter’s if they sought a duel with him next.
Empathic celebrations after Fury had his arm raised in the air have drawn similarities to Tommy’s older brother and heavyweight world champion, Tyson Fury’s, victory antics.
Some viewers were annoyed at Fury’s reaction who was understandably emotional after claiming a status-improving win over Paul that finally settles their ongoing dispute.
Sports broadcaster Andy Goldstein tweeted that Fury’s theatrics were ‘sad’, writing: ‘I live in a sporting world where pro boxer Tommy Fury celebrates likes he’s won the heavyweight title after beating a YouTuber. How sad.’
Some replies told him to go easy on Fury while others agreed that his celebrations were over-the-top.
Some social media users suggested that Fury (top off) went over-the-top in his post-fight celebrations
Another user explained that Fury’s reaction was a ‘relief’ to the pressure he had been under, fighting for his career and the future of his surname, explaining: ‘He had all that pressure on his shoulders going into that fight and he delivered well done Tommy fury.’
The majority of social media’s immediate reaction tried to get under Paul’s skin after the controversial YouTuber’s comments leading up to the fight that saw him insult and mock his opponent and members of Fury’s team.
One commenter hopes that Paul has learnt his lesson, writing: ‘Just like Tommy Fury said “Being delusional will get you killed.” And that’s exactly what happened to Jake right here. He ran his mouth like an absolute clown and paid the price for underestimating him.’
However, one Paul sympathiser shined light on the YouTuber’s rise through the professional ranks, noting that defeat made him a ‘legit’ boxer, posting: ‘Even though Jake Paul lost to Tommy Fury, he’s now a legit boxer. Went 8 rounds with a professional and held his own.
