'Rigged!' – Floyd Mayweather accused of preventing Logan Paul from being KO'd
Boxing fans claim Floyd Mayweather prevented Logan Paul from hitting the canvas during their eight-round exhibition fight in Miami on Sunday evening.
Mayweather and Paul went the distance at the Hard Rock Stadium, despite many predicting that the YouTube star would struggle to keep up with one of boxing’s greatest of all time.
But viewers have sparked a debate on social media after a clip of Mayweather appearing to hold up Paul went viral.
In the final stages of the sixth round, Mayweather ducked an overhand right from Paul and countered with a stinging right of his own.
Paul’s legs immediately bucked and the YouTube star stumbled towards Mayweather, who kept his left hand around his opponent’s shoulder to stop him from hitting the deck.
As per exhibition rules, a winner was not declared but some fans are in no doubt that Mayweather played a huge role in keeping Paul in the content for the full eight rounds.

Speaking after the fight, Paul even admitted that he wondered if Mayweather went easy on him during the bout.
‘This is one of the greatest moments of my life,’ said Paul.
‘You never know with this guy. I’m going to go home thinking, ‘did Floyd let me survive?’
‘This is the coolest thing ever. I’m happy I made it out.
‘He’s tough to hit, he’s always tough to hit and he’s not even that old.
‘Floyd Mayweather vs Logan Paul II? I don’t know, let me get a little better. Maybe I can end it next time.’
