Ricky Hatton shares incredible before-and-after photo of dramatic weight loss
Ricky Hatton has revealed his incredible weight loss in an emotional post on Instagram.
Boxing legend Hatton, 43, uploaded a before and after photo showing the extent of his mind-boggling transformation. It comes as the former world champion prepares to return to the ring against Marco Antonio Barrera.
Hatton will take on Barrera in an eight-round exhibition bout in Manchester on July 2. Although there will be no official winner, it still promises to be an excellent occasion and one that the Hitman has been training hard for. Hatton, who hasn't fought since 2012, took to social media to show off his weight loss journey.
Alongside the Hatton picture of his transformation, he wrote: "Never thought I'd get here again. Well I have. The bad days don't last forever, only you can change it and change it you can, Positive stuff, every day, you can do it."
He received compliments from a whole host of fans and famous faces from the world of boxing, including Oscar de la Hoya, who wrote: "Beautiful my boxing brother. Consistency is what we know best. Keep up the good work forever."

Former WBA female bantamweight title holder Shannon Courtenay posted a series of clapping emojis, while Irish boxer Gary "Spike" O'Sullivan commented: "Absolutely brilliant well done mate."
Hatton's return to the ring is now just over a month away, but he insists it is not the start of a full-time comeback. "I am doing this for fans who struggled being locked up with Covid," he said. "I got a call and was asked if I would come back to do this for the fans who have been locked up for ages after Covid.
"Covid has been tough for me, for everyone. I want to inspire people who have had mental health problems, too. They can look at me and say 'He struggled and now look at where he is' so they can do it too."
It has been a long time between drinks for Barrera, too. The 48-year-old former three weight champion has not fought since he beat Jose Arias in 2011. Hatton continued by praising his Mexican opponent, telling Sky Sports: "I can't wait to be honest with you.
"Even though we retired, we're not dead, we're still proud champions me and Marco. "We've still got to set ourselves goals, we've got dreams to live.
"It was an easy decision to make. It's an exhibition but it will be competitive, because we're both proud champions. I don't think he'll want to come to Manchester and have me box his ears off, and I don't think I'd like Marco to box my ears off either."
