Paris Fury wondered why "way too old" Tyson was talking to her on first meeting
Paris Fury has revealed her husband Tyson “looked way too old” when he initially talked to her on their first meeting – despite being just a year older.
The heavyweight boxing champion, who currently lives with Paris and their six children in Morecambe, met his future wife when he was just 16.
The pair eventually met again at Paris’ 16th birthday party a year later before going on dates to the cinema and ice skating every weekend.
But Paris, 31, revealed on BBC Breakfast that she was confused why “giant” Tyson, who appeared much older, was talking to her at a wedding before they went on to become childhood sweethearts.
She said: “I was 15, Tyson was 16. We met at a wedding, at 16 Tyson looked like a man of 25.
“He had a beard, was 6ft6, he was a giant. I remember thinking ‘you are way too old to be talking to me.’
“A few weeks later was my 16th birthday and we met again. From there it was sort of pure attraction.
“I don't know what it was, love at first sight I suppose.”

Tyson, 33, has since gone on to become the unified world heavyweight champion and recently etched his name into boxing legend by defeating American slugger Deontay Wilder in one of the most dramatic bouts of all time.
But Paris explained that despite his trash-talking persona and immense fighting ability, the Gypsy King is a “soft” family man.
She said: “He’s a big teddy bear. He’s actually a really soft-hearted person. And Tyson is what I’ve always described as a gentle giant.

“He’s obviously so loud and rash and he’s got this big showman personality when he’s in the ring but at home he’s just dad.”
Fury is expected to return to the UK for his next fight where he could take on Dillian Whyte or Joe Joyce.
He was expected to fight Anthony Joshua before Joshua's unexpected defeat to Oleksandr Usyk blew any hope of a £200m superfight happening next.
