Oleksandr Usyk says it’s Tyson Fury or nothing after he successfully retained his WBA, WBO and IBF world heavyweight titles against Anthony Joshua – whilst also adding the Ring Magazine belt to his collection. The Ukrainian weathered a minor storm to outclass his opposite number as he now targets an undisputed fight with the Gypsy King.
Fury, however, has already informed the WBC that he doesn’t wish to continue after allegedly walking away from the sport.
Usyk, meanwhile, is adamant Fury has not retired as he urged his opposite number to step up to the plate. If he doesn’t – Usyk isn’t interested in any other fights.
“I want to thank everyone who prayed for me. I want to thank god for the help he gave me today,” he told Sky Sports. “He’s given me a lot today. My lord is Jesus Christ. Thank you so much.”
Before adding: “I’m convinced Tyson Fury is not retired. I want to fight Tyson Fury, if I’m not fighting Tyson Fury then I’m not fighting at all.”
