She advanced in the first round connecting with several combinations on Wyatt, that pushed her back onto the ropes.
With the Canadian struggling to weather the early flurry of punches, the Manchester crowd inside the AO Arena grew louder with every punch, but she gallantly held on despite not getting much respite in the middle of the ring.
Jonas, who is trained by Joe Gallagher at Champs Camp in Manchester, continued to attack and in the third round landed a huge jab on her opponent’s face, seeming to draw blood from Wyatt’s nose.
The Canadian fought back, but couldn’t quite land many shots on her opponent, who was too quick to evade her. And using her experience, the Brit countered well connecting with the 32-year-old’s head and body in a combination of shots that unsteadied Wyatt in the sixth and seventh rounds.
