Mike Tyson opens coffee shop in Amsterdam yards from city’s red light district
Mike Tyson has opened up his own coffee shop in the cannabis capital of Amsterdam.
Tyson has become a massive advocate of marijuana in recent years, so much so that he co-founded a hemp company called Tyson 2.0. They've been selling premium strains, edibles and extracts online – but a physical store has now been established in the Netherlands.
Doors opened last Friday (March 24) at Coffeeshop Tyson 2.0, which is centrally located on the Spuistraat 222 within walking distance from Central Station – and from the city's infamous red light district.

In a press release, the legendary boxer said: "It's a dream come true to open our first coffee shop in Amsterdam.
"The Coffeeshop Tyson 2.0 will immerse fans in a full-on experience where they can enjoy my favorite Tyson 2.0 products the way I do. I’ve tried and tested all of them, and I can’t wait to share some of my most beloved and undefeated goods with Europe."

The coffee shop is emblazoned with the company's logo on the storefront and has a lounge where guests can experience the product offerings. Among the items the brand sells are Mike Bites – edible gummies shaped like an ear in reference to when Tyson infamously bit Evander Holyfield.
CEO of Tyson 2.0, Adam Wilks, added: “Amsterdam is a city with a deeply rich culture that has transformed it into one of the world’s premiere destinations with over 18 million tourists visiting every year.
"Coffee shop Tyson 2.0 celebrates our journey and marks a significant milestone for the company as we extend our international presence beyond North America into the burgeoning European market."
Cannabis has been available for recreational use in coffee shops in the Netherlands since 1976. However, smoking in Amsterdam's Red Light District will be prohibited starting from mid-May.
