Mayweather tipped to ‘stir the pot’ with Newcastle fans ahead of cup final
Geordie Shore star Aaron Chalmers expects surprise boxing opponent Floyd Mayweather to provoke Newcastle fans in the build-up to their fight.
Reality TV celebrity Chalmers has remarkably landed a showdown against one of the greatest boxers of all-time as 'Money' Mayweather continues to rake in huge sums from crossover exhibition contests.
Mayweather, 45, ended his pro career with his 50-0 record in tact six years ago but a lucrative retirement has seen him take part in money-spinning exhibitions against the likes of Logan Paul and Mikuru Asakura.
And Chalmers, 35, is the latest to be handed a shot at one of boxing's greatest in an unlikely February 25 match-up at the 02 Arena in London.

Coincidentally, the bout takes place just hours before Newcastle's long-awaited return to nearby Wembley Stadium in the Carabao Cup final against Manchester United.
Mayweather famously wore a United shirt to stir up trouble before his fight against huge Manchester City fan Ricky Hatton in 2007.
And Magpies supporter Chalmers is anticipating similar antics again as Mayweather looks to draw interest in his fight in the capital on the eve of the big final.

"The last time he fought someone from the UK was Ricky Hatton and, if you remember, he wore a Manchester United top," Chalmers told Sky Sports.
"So I've got a sneaky feeling he might have a Manchester United top on just to try and stir the pot at the press conference."
Eddie Howe's revitalised Newcastle side have made history by reaching the club's first major cup final since 1999.
And there is huge excitement on Tyneside ahead of the last weekend in February, where tens of thousands are set to travel down south in hope of witnessing the club claim their first major silverware in 54 years.
But Chalmers has revealed that dad duties have got in the way of completing a dream weekend at Wembley after his bout against Mayweather.
"Unfortunately not," he said when asked if he was attending the game. "I've got three young boys, one of them is having surgery on the Monday so I'll be back at home being a dad but I'm going to have the whole family round watching it."
