Logan Paul warns brother Jake would "murder" Tommy Fury in boxing match-up
Logan Paul has backed his brother Jake Paul to “murder” Tommy Fury in any possible upcoming fight, with the YouTube star engaging in a war of words with the former Love Island contestant in recent months.
Jake was involved in a backstage confrontation with Fury after the 24-year-old earned a win in an exhibition fight against Tyron Woodley in August. The bout saw a split-decision going Jake’s way to make for a record of 4-0.
Fury appeared as an undercard when the Paul vs Woodley event took place and made it 7-0 for himself, winning in a unanimous decision victory over Anthony Taylor.
But Jake's brother Logan has claimed he’s seen enough to know that his sibling would “murder” Fury, with the pair strongly linked to eventually face off in an upcoming fight.
Speaking on True Geordie’s podcast, the older sibling said: “The dude Tommy Fury beat [Anthony Taylor]. I'd been drinking 45 days straight after the Floyd Mayweather fight.
“I come back, I sparred the kid Tommy fought, he didn't make it out of the first round… He's gonna get f*****g murdered [against Jake].
“It isn't a fight between me and Tommy Fury at all, I can say what I want now I really don't give a f**k, Tommy couldn't even finish Taylor in the four-round period,” Logan continued.
“Do people think he is going to win, I was watching his fight and it is very clear that he is still an amateur, he is clearly built for it but there is something he lacks.
Do you think Jake Paul would be able to defeat Tommy Fury if they ever faced off? Let us know in the comments section.
“From what I saw from that fight, there is levels to this s**t and I am way above him.”
Jake has indicated that a fight could well happen in the near future – with Fury being ‘top of that list.’
But there is also the matter of Jorge Masvidal, a competitor in the welterweight division for the Ultimate Fighting Championship who's also linked, but nothing has come to fruition yet.
